About
We think running an organization
shouldn't require a spreadsheet degree
Alum is managed infrastructure for organizations — companies, institutions, associations, cooperatives, nonprofits, communities, and more. We make the operational work lighter so people can focus on what actually matters.
Our mission
Give every organization the managed infrastructure to operate like a world-class institution and build software without rebuilding the same backend.
Why we exist
The problem is real
Businesses, institutions, associations, cooperatives, and community groups across Nigeria — and Africa broadly — still manage critical operations through a combination of disconnected software, WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets, and manual bank transfers.
Dues go uncollected. Events are poorly attended. Communications are scattered. Leaders burn out on administrative overhead that modern software should handle automatically.
The tools that exist are either built for Western contexts, priced for large enterprises, or too generic to fit the specific patterns of how African organizations actually operate.
Our approach
Purpose-built, not adapted
We didn't take a generic SaaS template and localize it. Alum was designed from scratch around how African organizations actually work — with the payment methods, communication channels, organizational structures, and workflows that are native to the continent.
The result is a platform that feels immediately familiar to anyone who has ever managed a company team, customer network, professional association, cooperative, student union, or faith community. Because those are all organization relationships.
What we believe
Built for context
African organizations have unique operational patterns — dues in naira, WhatsApp-first communication, decentralized chapters. We build for that reality, not around it.
Simplicity over feature bloat
Every module does one thing well. No configuration mazes. No enterprise jargon. If a founder can set it up in an afternoon, we've done our job.
Reliability above all
Your organization runs on Alum. That means we treat uptime, data integrity, and financial accuracy as non-negotiable — not features.
Transparent pricing
No per-seat traps. No surprise overages. The price on the pricing page is the price you pay. We'd rather you trust us than be afraid to grow.
